Dress Code

Members and Visitors are required to maintain a standard of dress in keeping with the character and standing of the Club.

Clubhouse Dress Code Policy

  • Gentlemen are required to wear a tailored jacket and tie in the Dining Room, Members' Bar and Upstairs Lounge (unless at times specified by the Council).
  • Smart casual clothing is acceptable in the Spike Bar, Changing Rooms and Upstairs Lounge (at times specified by the Council).
  • Clean golf shoes may be worn in the Spike Bar, Locker Room and Changing Rooms.
  • Jackets may be removed in the Billiard Room.

Smart Casual Dress

Shirts with collars and sleeves; polo shirts; sweaters; tailored trousers; tailored shorts no longer than knee length and no shorter than 8 cm above the knee when kneeling; appropriate knee or calf length socks; and shoes.

Unacceptable Casual Dress

Waterproofs; wet clothing; T-shirts; rugby and football shirts; all denim clothes; leather jackets; jogging bottoms; patch pocket, studded, jean style, walking or cargo trousers and shorts; trainers and sandals; any item of headgear; shirts worn loose over the waistline; shoes worn without socks; trousers tucked into socks; clothing bearing large advertising material.

Course Dress Code Policy

  • Smart Casual Dress Rules apply.
  • Footwear – only golf shoes.

The General Manager, his staff and the Society Professional and his staff are authorised to request those who infringe the dress code to change their apparel or leave the Clubhouse or the Course.
